Stewart Hunt

Stewart Hunt boasts over 40 years of distinguished financial market and management experience. He began his illustrious career at Richardson Greenshields and CIBC World Markets, where he served as an institutional money market and fixed-income trader. Mr. Hunt then dedicated 18 years to ScotiaMcLeod, where he rose to the position of Managing Director and Head of the Portfolio Advisory Group. In this role, he managed equity, fixed income, and foreign exchange trading, as well as sales, research, and portfolio management.


Mr. Hunt's expertise was further recognized when he was contracted as a subject matter expert by the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) to implement their debt surveillance model. His most recent role was as the Fixed Income Trade Floor Supervisor for Bank of Montreal Capital Markets, where he was instrumental in overseeing critical operations.


Mr. Hunt has been actively involved in governance and advisory roles throughout his career. He has served on the Bank of Nova Scotia's Reputational Risk Committee, the Scotia Capital Product Approval Committee, and the ScotiaMcLeod Hedge Fund Committee, where his insights have been invaluable. Beyond his professional endeavours, Mr. Hunt is committed to community service, holding board positions with the Creative Works Art Studio and the Mad River Golf Club Finance Committee.
